Volunteers

Volunteers are essential to our agency. We depend on volunteers to assist the aging population in many ways. Please contact* us if you are interested in being a volunteer.

Volunteers serve in a variety of capacities for the Chesterfield County Council on Aging in several of our programs.

• Transportation
  • Assisting clients when entering or exiting transportation
  • Escorting on vans
  • Cleaning vehicles
• At the Nutrition Sites
  • Setting up for Congregate Meals
  • Assisting with meal distribution (dipping and filling for those clients that need assistance) at the Congregate Meals
  • Helping clean up after Congregate Meals
  • Doing yard work
• Home Meals
  • Delivering meals to home bound clients
• Doing yard work for clients
  • Arrangements are made through the CCCOA office
  • Transportation for volunteers may be available
• Alzheimer's
  • One-on-one companionship during Alzheimer's Outings
• In the Office
  • Answering phones
  • Filing
  • Doing yard work
